Arc'teryx Kragg Insulated Shoes - Men's review
Winter's almost over, and it's time to put away my Arc'teryx KRAGG INSULATED shoes. Let me tell you about my experience with these.
First off, I originally fell for the low - top version. But when I was ready to buy, they only had the high - top. Since I needed a winter shoe, I went for it. But man, after wearing them all winter, I'm not impressed. If it wasn't for matching my black outfits in the morning, I probably wouldn't even touch them.
Secondly, they're supposed to be this fancy down - filled and insulated shoe. But when it was really cold, I didn't feel that warm. And when it started getting a bit warmer, like around 16 degrees Celsius in spring, my feet were sweating. And I was wearing Smartwool socks, too!
Then there's the feel when walking. The insoles are really thick, but that didn't make walking more comfortable. My left foot gets a bit pinched at the crease when I push off the ground. The right foot's fine, and I've never had this issue with just one foot in other shoes.
As for looks, well, that's a personal thing. Some people think ugly shoes are the new fashion.
Would I recommend them? Nope. If you really want to try them, maybe go for the short - top version. People say you can wear them as slippers in summer. But I've heard that the upper can crack easily. I got Birkenstocks, so I'm just gonna skip the short - top Arc'teryx for summer.
