Arc'teryx Vertex Alpine Approach Shoes - Men's Review
I'm usually not super picky about shoes, but man, these Arc'teryx Vertex Alpine Approach Shoes for men are something else.
Compared to the Konseal FL2, these shoes have way more wrap - around feel. Your feet feel really secure in them. And the sole is so thick! It's like you're walking on a cloud because you can barely feel the ground at all. But here's the thing, with that thick sole comes a stiffness. It's not the most flexible shoe out there.
Now, the non - GTX version of these shoes is actually more breathable than some of my other GTX - equipped shoes. In terms of comfort, I'd say it's about on par with the others. But when it comes to making a choice, I'd probably go for the GTX version. Why? Well, the GTX version can handle all sorts of situations. Rainy days, wet trails, you name it. It gives you that extra protection and peace of mind when you're out and about. So yeah, if you're looking at these Vertex Alpine Approach Shoes, think about what you'll be using them for, but the GTX option might just be the way to go.
