Arc'teryx Kopec Mid GTX Shoes Review
Hey, y'all! I recently got my hands on these Arc'teryx Kopec Mid GTX shoes, and I'm here to share my thoughts.
First off, these shoes are seriously cool - looking. They've got a super high - end look, and I was stoked when I first laid eyes on 'em. The fit is really snug, like they're hugging your feet in all the right places. And let me tell you, the waterproofing is top - notch. I walked through some puddles, and my feet stayed completely dry.
But here's the deal. They're not all sunshine and rainbows. For one, they don't do much for wind protection around your feet, and the breathability is just so - so. But that might be because I haven't gone on a long hike yet. The biggest shocker? These shoes are as hard as a rock when you walk on them. It's like I'm wearing a pair of solid shells. I'm really worried about how my feet would hold up on a long - distance hike. I wore 'em for a couple of days during my commute, and it just wasn't comfortable at all.
Oh, and another thing. If you're walking on tile floors, be extra careful. These shoes are extremely slippery on tile. I almost took a nasty fall a couple of times.
So, yeah, while these shoes are great - looking and waterproof, the stiffness, lack of comfort for commuting, and slipperiness on tile are definitely things to think about before you buy. Just my two cents!
