Lululemon Men's Wunder Puff 600-Down-Fill Jacket *Iridescent review
Okay, so, like, Lululemon finally came through with the matching down jackets for me and my dude! It's been, like, insane cold in Boston lately, we're talking, like, -12°C – totally nuts! I was trying to snag a Wunder Puff for my boyfriend for Christmas, you know, Black Friday, but Lululemon's Black Friday deals were a total bust. Hardly any down jackets were on sale, just some bright blue women's one, which was a big no-go.
Then Boxing Day rolls around, and the discounts were way better, but still, slim pickings for men's down jackets, and the colors and styles were just…meh. I had bought something from them before, some Tech canvas thing, and the fabric was so stiff and heavy, I hated it.
Anyway, this jacket is, like, iridescent, which means it's kinda rainbow-y. It looks black at first, but then, because of the reflective material, it flashes silver. Super cool, modern, and trendy, perfect for my boyfriend – he's low-key but still has that edge.
I wasn't even planning on buying it online, but then I saw it in the store and I was, like, whoa. And it was his exact size! There was only one left, so I tried it on real quick to get a feel for the size, and then just carried it around while I browsed the women's stuff. And get this – multiple male sales guys came up to me, like, "That jacket is so nice!" And I'm all, "Yeah, and it's on sale!" They didn't even know! They checked, and, sure enough, it was.
Honestly, the online pics of this jacket totally don't do it justice. It's, like, impossible to capture the reflective thing with my iPhone camera, which is probably why it wasn't selling well online. They also had a vest, but the price difference wasn't worth it – only ten bucks cheaper than the jacket.
The store was packed with sales people, and they were all, like, super on top of it, asking if I needed help. Maybe it's the holidays?
Oh, and I noticed the Wunder Puff stuff now has the down fill power listed in the description. Maybe because of the economy, everyone's trying to save money and find good deals? The short Wunder Puff vests used to be, like, $99, and now the discounted ones in weird colors are $149 or $179! Crazy!
