Lululemon Featherweight 900-Down-Fill Long Puffer Jacket review
Okay, so I was just, like, browsing in a store, not even really looking for anything, and I saw this Lululemon Featherweight Long Puffer Jacket. It was hanging with all these other huge, bulky down jackets, and I just kinda grabbed it. And, OMG, it was so light! I mean, ridiculously light. I'm guessing it was only, like, 400 or 500 grams.
I checked the tag, and it's 90% goose down, 10% goose feathers. No wonder! I looked it up online, and get this – it was still full price! So, I checked it really carefully for any damage, and luckily, it was perfect. I asked the salesperson about it, and she said it wasn't technically waterproof, but it was quick-drying. Which, honestly, who wears a down jacket in a downpour anyway? So, that was fine. The salesperson was all excited about how light it was, and I told her, "Yeah, no kidding!" and joked that I'd buy them all. She laughed, thinking I was kidding. Too bad there was only one! This would have been perfect to take home as a gift. Guess I gotta hit up the outlet more often.
Seriously, this Featherweight jacket totally changed my mind about long down jackets. I always thought they were so bulky. This one felt like I was wearing a cloud – so light! It’s got 900-fill-power down, and the fabric is water-resistant, which is awesome. I could totally wear this up north and be fine. I was so surprised that it could be so warm and so light. The 900-fill power is definitely gonna keep me warm in the winter. And I literally can't even feel it when I'm wearing it! I tried on a small, and I could even fit a scuba underneath.
Plus, it's that classic Lululemon 9-grid design. And don't think it doesn't have a waist – there's an elastic band inside that you can cinch in. I see girls wearing it like that all the time – super cute and practical.
