Lululemon Down for It All Jacket Review
Okay, so basically, if you're looking for a flattering down jacket, the lululemon Down for It All is a good bet. Here's the lowdown:
Fit: It runs a bit small. If you're usually a size 4 in lululemon Scuba, you'll probably want a size 6 in this jacket. It's still fitted, even a size up, so it'll show off your waist. Looks great with yoga pants or wide-leg pants.
Color: Jade Grey is a winner. It's a nice, soft grey that goes with pretty much everything, especially other greys and bone white. It won't wash you out either.
Warmth: Super warm, even though it's lightweight. The Glyde™ fabric blocks wind, and the PrimaLoft® insulation keeps you toasty, even if it gets wet. You can even layer it under a Wunder Puff or fleece jacket for extra warmth.
Versions: They've changed this jacket a lot over the years. Here's a quick guide:
2019: Hood is attached, no reflective logos or dots. This one's the thickest, but the shoulders can look a little wonky.
2020/2021: Hood comes off, reflective logo on the sleeve, reflective strip on the back, no dots.
2022: Hood comes off, reflective logo on the sleeve, and reflective dots.
2023: Hood is attached again, reflective logo on the sleeve, and reflective dots. This one's a bit bigger, especially in the shoulders and sleeves. They made some other improvements too, like a better hood, no more pilling on the collar, and nicer pocket labels.
Bottom line: Get the newest version you can, ideally the 2023 one. It's the most comfortable and has the best features. The older versions are okay, but they've definitely made some good improvements over time.
