KEEN Newport H2 Women's Sandals review

I'm really into the outdoors, and when I was planning to hike in some of the big national forests in the US, I saw a bunch of posts saying there's a part in Zion National Park where you gotta walk through water. And since it's been raining like crazy in Shenzhen, I figured I'd get a pair of water - hiking shoes.

At first, I had my heart set on the Hoka Hopara. I rushed over to the MixC World store, but guess what? They only had men's sizes, and it was just the first - gen model. Bummer. So, I popped next door to the KEEN store. Turns out, the KEEN NEWPORT H2 had tons of colors and plenty of stock. I tried on a few, and the khaki one looked the best with my everyday clothes, so I was sold. I usually wear either a 36 or 37, and this time, the 37 fit just right, with a bit of room in the front of my foot. No need to size up. There was no discount, but the salesgirl said she'd give me 20x MixC points, so that seemed like a good deal, and I bought 'em. While I was there, another girl bought the same sandals in pink. Seemed like we had similar taste.

I wore these sandals on my hike. The left one felt great, fit like a glove, but the right one was a bit tight. I'm hoping it'll stretch out with more wear. Also, these shoes press on my instep, they're not very breathable, and my toes start to hurt after a while. I tried three different sizes. First, I got a 24, then a 24.5, and finally a 25, but it didn't get much better. It was kind of annoying. But they look so cool that I decided I could live with the discomfort and keep 'em.

So, if you've got wide feet, you really need to think hard before getting these. Make sure you know what you're getting into.
