KEEN Brixen Waterproof Low Shoes - Men's review
My first impression of the KEEN brand was one of uniqueness and comfort, all stemming from an accidental purchase at a shoe store.
I had a pair of KEEN shoes that I wore for a full six years, and they were still comfortable. Their durability is truly remarkable.
KEEN is a relatively niche brand, with limited purchasing channels. I placed an order through Amazon's direct shipping service. Amazon has a fast delivery speed. I received the goods just eight days after placing the order.
The shoes I bought are called MEN'S BRIXEN WATERPROOF LOW. They are waterproof and low - cut, making them particularly suitable for winter wear. They can keep you warm in an environment of minus 32 degrees Celsius. They feature a Shellback heel support design, allowing you to put them on and take them off easily without using your hands. The toe part of the shoes is reinforced to better protect the toes, which is one of the iconic designs of the KEEN brand.
When I first unpacked the shoes, my initial thought upon seeing the appearance was that they were "ugly", but their practicality was undeniable. The sole of the shoes is designed to enhance friction in slippery conditions. The friction is so strong that you can't slide or drag your feet on the floor. Inside the shoes, there is a warm - keeping material called keen.warm made from bamboo charcoal, and the insole has a heat - insulating design.
After putting them on, I found that the shoe shape is well - designed and extremely comfortable to wear. The breathability is also good, and I don't feel stuffy at all. Although I didn't conduct a specific water - soaking test, the waterproof feature of these shoes is quite prominent.
Overall, if you care more about comfort and durability in your footwear, KEEN is definitely an excellent choice. However, if you only focus on appearance, then this brand falls far short. It's a brand with distinct characteristics.
