HOKA Transport Shoes for Men review

Finding the right shoes for commuting to work is no easy feat. There are so many options out there, and everyone's needs are different. After checking out a bunch of popular brands and styles, I finally settled on this not - so - well - known HOKA model, based on what I need for my job. I've been wearing these shoes for a month now, including during two long business trips, and I'm really happy with them. Time to share my thoughts.

If you're familiar with HOKA, you know they've got this cool thing going on. Their shoes look all big and heavy, but when you put 'em on, they're super light and comfy. It's like a total 180. And we've all heard how popular HOKA has gotten in the past few years. Compared to some of their other really trendy models, the Transport looks a lot more normal, but it still gives you that same cool contrast when you wear it.

The Transport uses Cordura fabric, the kind you often see on backpacks. It's tough and can take a beating. Along with some coated parts, the shoe has a really clean, simple look. It can handle a little water, but it doesn't breathe as well as some other shoes. The quick - tie laces are a nice touch. They're really handy and save me a bit of time in the morning.

When I first put these shoes on, the cushioning in the midsole didn't feel that great. They were light, but kind of stiff. But after walking around for a while, especially on long trips, they started to get all soft and springy, yet still had some support. It was like they needed to break in a bit, and it was a pleasant surprise.

The outsole is made by Vibram, with those big, chunky bumps you see on outdoor shoes. So far, they've been doing a good job of keeping me from slipping and seem like they'll last a while. I think these shoes would be fine for some light outdoor activities, too.
