HOKA Anacapa 2 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Women's review
Hey, so I got these HOKA Anacapa 2 Mid GTX hiking boots for women, and let me tell you, they've tweaked the upper part, and when I put 'em on, they feel real nice. They look pretty cool on my feet, too. Compared to your typical hiking boots, the soles are a bit softer. Now, if you're packing a heavy load for a hike, these might not be the best bet, but for regular, casual hikes, they're totally up for it.
Here are some things I noticed about 'em:
1. The Collar and Heel Are Super Comfortable: It's like they give your feet a cozy little hug.
2. Water - proofing and Green Stuff: They use this more eco - friendly Gore - tex material for the upper to keep water out. And they've got this Invisible tech that makes 'em even better at keeping you dry and letting your feet breathe.
3. Upgrades in the Mesh and Lining: The mesh on the outside and the lining inside are both improved. They're more earth - friendly and let more air in, so your feet don't get all sweaty and gross.
4. Midsole and Outsole Still Rock: Just like the last version, the middle part and the bottom of the boots do a great job of cushioning your steps and letting air in. You know, that shock - absorbing and breathing thing.
5. The Heel Design Stays the Same: They kept that Hubble heel from the old model, which helps you stay steady when you're walking.
But here's the deal. Brands that aren't super into the whole outdoor - gear - only thing, you can't always count on their quality. And HOKA, well, it seems like these boots are better for walking around the city. I mean, the front of my left boot started leaking water! Can you believe that? I've got some Mammut hiking boots, and I've splashed around in water with 'em during outdoor trips, and they never leaked. And this mesh upper, it holds water after you get it wet. That's gotta be a design problem, right? Maybe they should've just gone for a really breathable design instead of trying to use Gore - tex.
