With the 24-25 snow season hitting, Arc'teryx men's skiwear is once again a hot topic for skiers. This year's lineup has seen some serious updates and tweaks in design, functionality, and materials, giving you a bunch of options depending on where and how you ski. Let's break down the new Arc'teryx men's ski gear.
1. Regarding the Arc'teryx Rush Model
The Rush has been slightly redesigned and is priced $50 less than the Sabre.
2. Color Options: A Critical Look
The red and orange color-blocking? Yikes. Looks like you're about to do the dishes.
The ultramarine blue? Totally looks like a delivery driver uniform.
The all-white Sabre IS? That's kinda risky on the slopes.
Eden green is a toss-up; maybe skip the matching hat.
Black is classic, can't go wrong with that.
Stratocumulus blue is decent. Overall though, color choices seem limited.
3. New Ski Down Jacket and Sabre Models
They've dropped a new down jacket called the Fissile, same price as the others. Supposedly the warmest, but it looks super bulky, probably won't be a big seller.
There's a half-zip Sabre too, not pictured, but apparently it's a pain to get on and off.
4. Hardshell, Insulated/Down Recommendations
Hardshell pick: If the length isn't an issue, the Sabre SV is the top dog (though it's $250 more than the Rush). It's got that 100D three-layer GTX Pro, and it just works. Those "grocery bag" style shells don't fit as well.
Insulated/Down: For insulated/down, the Sabre IS is my top pick (I own it). With a base layer, it's good down to around 14°F. For colder days, throw on a fleece – perfect layering. Second up is the Lightweight, aimed at younger folks (the regular one's too bulky). Heads up: the Rush IS GTX White Label isn't waterproof. It's more of an outlet find.
