Arc'teryx Beta SL Jacket - Women's review
Okay, so, let me tell you about this jacket. It's the Arc'teryx Beta SL, and honestly, it's awesome. Basically, it's everything you want in a good jacket.
First off, it's totally waterproof and windproof, but it still breathes really well. You won't get soaked or sweaty, which is a huge plus. It's also super light and packs down small, so you can just throw it in your bag and not even notice it's there.
They used some fancy new material called Gore-Tex ePE, which is not only lightweight and strong, but it's also PFC-free, so that's good for the environment. And get this – the inside has this special C-KNIT thing that makes it feel really comfortable against your skin. No sticky or clammy feeling!
The hood is great too. It's called a StormHood and fits over a helmet, which is perfect for hiking or climbing. It doesn't block your vision either, so you can actually see where you're going. Plus, it has pit zips for extra ventilation if you start to get too warm. And for safety, it's got a RECCO reflector, which is a nice touch.
Oh, and if you're wondering about the fit, this is actually the newer version of the Beta Lightweight Jacket. It's crazy light, only 340 grams! It feels really nice, too, not flimsy at all. I'm 5'5" and about 127 pounds, and a medium fits me perfectly. It just looks really good on, makes you look like you're ready for anything.
