All About the Arc'teryx Beta SL Jacket for Men
Hey everyone! Today, I'm gonna tell you about the biggest change in Arc'teryx's hard - shell line after their product lineup got revamped - the Beta SL (Superlight). Just from the name, you can tell it's an upgrade from the Beta LT series. The LT series was super popular because of its awesome 3D - cut design. A lot of us bird - lovers picked it as our first Arc'teryx purchase. But last year, because of the company's new strategy, the Beta LT was taken off the market. Now, the Beta SL is here.
The Beta SL uses a new GORE - TEX ePE membrane. It's PFC - Free, which means it's eco - friendly. It keeps you dry, and at the same time, it doesn't create that hard - to - break - down PTFE stuff during manufacturing. The outer fabric has been upgraded too. Instead of the 40D used in the LT, it's now a combo of 70D and 40D. This makes it way more resistant to tearing, so it's perfect for outdoor adventures.
When it comes to breathability, the LT relied on lighter fabric and the C - Knit lining. But the Beta SL took it a step further. It added the underarm zippers that were only on the Beta AR before. Now you can cool off even easier.
The Beta SL uses Gore - Tex Paclite fabric. This stuff is known for being light, tough against the weather, and quiet. Unlike regular hard - shell fabrics, it's soft. You won't hear that annoying "rustling" sound when you move, like with some waterproof jackets. The fabric feels smooth, not all plasticky. So, even if you're just wearing it for your commute, you won't be bothered by any noise.
If you're not into super - extreme outdoor conditions, the Beta SL has got you covered. It can handle any kind of bad weather and tricky terrain. And if you're going on a light - packing trip, this is one piece of gear you definitely need.
